crochet

I was trying to come up with a new name to revamp my etsy shop.

i thought to use some ballet terms as they are close to me... but too abstract

so i looked to using the french language....

I translated "dance of the hook" and strangely found out that "hook" in french is "crochet"....

SO when we say we need a "size G crochet hook" we are saying "hook hook"

how and why did we start with this???

i understand the art came from the french... therefore they took the name from them "crochet"

back into the swing of things

its been a while, since i have both posted and have done any work. BUT! I am back!

My two main projects are the white cabled hat from Interweave Crochet and the bamboo tank top.

The tank is about half done, the back is complete and i have about four inches of the front done. It is incredibly boring to work on as it is a shell stitch with no real shaping work- yet. I love the bamboo yarn though and can't wait to finish and block it!

The hat might get put back on the back burner. It is no longer a necessity- the weather is too warm! It is fun to work on though, just doesn't grow quickly. I did have to take a few rows out for a pretty stupid mistake.

I also did an inventory today of patterns i want to work on and what yarn i have for the patterns. I have5 or 6 patterns with yarn already purchased (maybe more!) and about the same amount without yarn.

Etsy... boo i haven't had much time to work on project at all, let alone to sell. there have probably been so many changes i don't know if i will know my way around.

There are a few things i want to do this summer and finishing 3 projects is new the top of the list!
